Background

Playworks developed Garuda ID, a nationwide digital identity and facial recognition access system for PSSI. The platform replaces manual ticket checks with secure, ticketless entry by linking verified supporter identities to third-party ticketing platforms.

It supports local and international fans through multi-step verification and a centralized admin dashboard for monitoring and identity management.

The Results

Garuda ID successfully onboarded over 600,000 verified users, supporting large-scale match operations with accurate identity matching and fraud prevention. The facial recognition access system reduced stadium entry time dramatically while eliminating dependency on physical or digital tickets.

The platform is now used across multiple Indonesian stadiums and has strengthened PSSI’s security and crowd-management capabilities. Its unified supporter identity database also enables long-term fan analytics, operational efficiency, and future expansion into nationwide event access solutions.
